Tad Wiley’s recent paintings express a visual vocabulary of abstract forms. The fifteen vibrant and compact works were made spontaneously, as new inventions. Created using oil based enamel on wood panel, the surfaces possess a subtle, soft shine. These small pieces are the artist’s response to years of working large, and a desire for immediacy and experimentation.
Tad Wiley was born in Needham, Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Art and Design at the State University of New York. His work has been exhibited at museums and galleries across the country, including Ace Gallery, New York, the Orlando Museum of Art, and Burnett Miller Gallery. |
